Experts who care, working on projects that matter.

House of Social Enterprise — HoSE — was founded in Amsterdam in 2018 as a hub where senior practitioners collaborate on work that serves profit, people and planet at the same time.

We are not a volume consultancy. Engagements are taken on by the founders personally, delivered by the founders personally, and finished to a standard we are willing to put our names on.

Most consultancies hand you a deck and leave the hard part to you. We do the hard part. Our deliverables are the finished article: the proposal you submit, the agreement you sign, the market you enter.

We operate from three offices — Amsterdam, Amman and Riyadh — and have been operating in these markets for over thirty years, not advising on them.

Helen van Wengen

Helen van Wengen

Founder & CEO · Published Author

Thirty-five years across two worlds that rarely meet: international hospitality and international development.

On the commercial side: senior leadership with KLM, Marriott, Starwood, Wyndham, IHG, Six Senses, Fairmont and Anantara. Six pre-opening and start-up assignments across Europe, the Middle East and Asia — leading the full commercial build each time: naming, brand positioning, outlet concept development, communications strategy, business development and team formation. She has set operations up from scratch and handed over running businesses.

On the development side: a decade of consulting for USAID, UNDP, Oxfam, AFD, Chemonics, MSI, RSCN and the Ministry of Tourism Jordan — writing winning proposals and sitting on the commissioning side, scoring them.

A published author. She enters complexity, builds the structure that holds it together, and delivers.
